A: From our Full Hookup 50amp Waterfront Campsites to Seasonal Sites, we can accommodate every unit from the smallest pop-up or tent to the largest big rig. We offer a variety of camping options, including RV and tent sites right on the river, convenient poolside pull thru sites, tent sites, seasonal campsites and an RV rental. Additionally, you can enjoy river adventures with canoe, kayak, and tubing rentals right on the Unadilla River.
Q: Is Tall Pines Campground pet-friendly?
A: Yes! Friendly pets are always welcome! We are pet-friendly and welcome your furry companions. Please ensure they are kept on a leash at all times, and clean up after them.

A: Yes, you are welcome to bring your own kayak or tube! However, we also offer rentals for a hassle-free experience, including canoes, kayaks, tubes, and more for your river adventure.

A: No prior experience is required! Our Unadilla River is a lazy river, making it perfect for beginners and families. We’ll provide you with everything you need for a safe and enjoyable experience, and our friendly staff is always available to offer guidance. (Adequate physical fitness and stability is required for loading, unloading and paddling)
Q: How does the river rental process work?
A: After you book your rental, we’ll bring your canoe, kayak, or tube right to the boat launch at Tall Pines Campground. At the end of the day, we’ll pick it up for you. We also offer fun add-ons like floating coolers, water guns, and extra lifejackets to make your experience even better.
Q: Can I bring my own boat or kayak?
A: Certainly! However, only canoes or kayaks are allowed to be launched at the campground and no motors are allowed in the river. Don’t have your own boat? No worries! Our rentals are designed to ensure a seamless, safe, and fun experience on the river. If you’re looking for more adventure, feel free to ask us about our available options!
Q: Is the river safe for kids?
A: Absolutely! The Unadilla River is calm and NY River Adventures is perfect for family-friendly river activities for ages 3+. We provide all necessary safety gear, including lifejackets for all ages.
Q: Can I fish while I’m on the river?
A: Yes! Fishing is a popular activity along the river. Feel free to bring your fishing gear and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the water. You may even catch some fish for dinner! (a NY license may be required).
Q: Do I need to book my river adventure in advance?
A: While we welcome walk-ins, reservations are highly recommended to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons. Booking in advance guarantees you’ll have your canoe, kayak, or tube ready when you arrive.
Q: Are there any special river use rules I should know about?
A: Yes. Rafting, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, etc. are allowed and at your own risk. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult on all River Rentals. Swimming is not allowed.

Q: Do you have a restaurant or food delivery services?
A: While we don’t have a sit-down restaurant, we’re pleased to offer Chippy’s Hippie Pizza Delivery on Friday nights and Eddy’s Homecooked Chicken & Ribs on Saturdays. Order on ChippysAPP and we will deliver these delicious meals right to your campsite for a convenient and tasty dining experience.
Q: Are there nearby restaurants or grocery stores?
A: Yes, there are several great restaurants and grocery stores just a short drive from Tall Pines RV Park in Sidney, NY. For a delicious meal, you can enjoy fresh sushi at Okinawa Sushi or grab a classic slice at Joe’s Pizza. If you’re in the mood for Mexican, Macho’s Tacos offers tasty options. CHECK IN PAPERWORK is located in the night registration area just inside the front door or will be delivered to your car upon arrival. Please pick up your packets and sign in before proceeding to your campsite. ~ If you are arriving after 6pm, please note that your paperwork will be located in the night registration area.

Children and teenagers should return to their sites by 10pm.
Music should not be heard off your site at any time. Your neighbors may be seeking a peaceful, quiet camping experience- be respectful. This is a family campground –no “R” rated music or profanity, please

Q: Can my pets come camping or boating?
A: Yes! Tall Pines loves having your friendly pet come to visit!
CAMPGROUND: We’d love to have your friendly pet come camping at Tall Pines. Please note that all pets must be kept on a 6’ leash and cleaned up after (even in the dog park!) and that pets cannot be left unattended. Visitors may not bring pets into the park.
NY RIVER ADVENTURES: You are welcome to bring your pet canoeing with you, however please note that pets are not allowed on kayaks or tubes and may capsize boats.
Q: Are there any pet restrictions?
A: All pets must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Aggressive dogs are not permitted, and pets should not disturb other guests. Noisy or aggressive pets, or pets found off leash, will be asked to leave. Proof of rabies shots must be provided.
Q: Do you provide dog-friendly areas?
A: We have a fenced in dog park where your dog can roam freely. Please use this area for off-leash activities.
VISITORS MUST REGISTER before entering the park and are $5.00 per person. Overnight guests are $7. Unregistered visitors are charged to your site at the rate of $25/per person
ALL VEHICLES REQUIRE A CAR PASS
Q: Can I visit someone who is already staying at Tall Pines Campground?
A: Yes, visitors are welcome to come and see campers who are staying at Tall Pines. Please check in at the campground office upon arrival for a visitor pass and directions to the campsite.
Q: Is there a fee for visitors?
A: There is a small day-use fee for visitors. This fee grants access to all common areas, including picnic areas, sports fields, playgrounds, and the swimming pool.
Q: What time can I visit?
A: Visitors are welcome from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Overnight visitors are allowed for an additional fee.
Q: Can I bring my pet when visiting?
A: Unfortunately, visitors are not allowed to bring pets.
Q: Can I use the campground facilities as a visitor?
A: Yes, visitors can enjoy many of the campground’s amenities, including the swimming pool, playgrounds, picnic areas, arcades, activities and sports fields. Some areas may require additional fees.
Q: Can I park near my friend’s campsite?
A: Visitors are asked to park in designated visitor parking areas and walk to the site. This helps maintain traffic flow and ensures safety within the campground.
Q: Do visitors need to register at the office?
A: Yes, all visitors must check in at the campground office upon arrival or pre-register on ChippysAPP. You’ll be given a visitor pass to display in your vehicle and access the common areas.
Q: Can I bring food or drinks to share at the campsite?
A: Absolutely! Visitors are welcome to bring food, drinks, or enjoy a meal with the camper you’re visiting. Just be sure to clean up afterward and follow campground rules for cooking and open flames.
Q: Are there any restrictions on what I can bring as a visitor?
A: Visitors can bring personal items, but alcohol, parties, and loud music are not permitted in the common areas or campsites. Please respect the campground’s quiet hours and guidelines.
Q: Can I use the river or rent equipment while visiting?
A: Yes! Visitors can rent kayaks, canoes, or tubes through NY River Adventures at Tall Pines. Rental fees apply, and all equipment must be returned by 6 PM.
Q: Can I visit multiple times during the day?
A: As long as you have a valid visitor pass and it’s within the hours of 9 AM to 10 PM, you are welcome to come and go throughout the day. Just remember to follow our 5mph speed limit when you drive through the campground.
Q: How do I get to the camper?
A: Once you’ve checked in at the office, you’ll be given directions to the camper’s site. The campground is spacious, and we’ll make sure you have clear instructions to find your way.
Q: Is there a limit on how many visitors can come to see someone?
A: Maximum daytime site occupancy is 8 people and overnight occupancy is 6 people. If you have a larger group, please let the office know as large gatherings should be coordinated with campground management to ensure everyone’s comfort.
SPEED LIMIT OF 5MPH IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.
CAR PASS: ALL GUESTS AND VISITORS MUST HAVE A CAR PASS. Vehicles without permits subject to tow at owner’s expense.
PARKING: 1 RV & 1 vehicle per site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the parking lots.
STAY OFF THE GRASS unless necessary to park at your site.
Do not block road, turn around area, or another site (s).
NO VEHICLES IN TENT AREA.
WE OFFER CONVENIENT FIREWOOD DELIVERY right to your campsite! If you are transporting your own firewood, please note that ALL WOOD brought to the park must have a DEC transport permit or receipt from less than 50 miles away (per NY Law).
CAMPFIRES: Do Not Unload or Use Illegal Wood. No pallets, scrap wood, lumber, or illegal wood is allowed.
DON’T MOVE FIRE RINGS OR CUT BRANCHES
ABSOULTELY! There are just a few rules you’ll need to follow. Firstly, be sure to bring your insurance card with you as we will need a copy of that in the office and you do need to be 18+ with a valid driver’s license to drive here at the campground. Please, stay off the grass and only drive on marked road and of course, don’t drink and drive.
We’re sorry, but ATVs or loud gas engines are not allowed.
Yes, Tall Pines RV Park has an inground swimming pool available for our guests with a deep end of 8′. Please note that swimming is at your own risk—there is no lifeguard on duty, and Tall Pines RV Park is not responsible for accidents or injuries.
Pool Rules:
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- No pets in the pool area.
- Never swim alone; at least two adults must be present when the pool is in use, with one adult on the pool deck.
- No glass inside the pool gates.
- Do not drink alcohol and swim.
- Pull-ups must be worn by non-toileting children.
- The pool is closed at dusk and during bad weather.
We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time, so please follow the rules while using the pool!
Q: Are there laundry facilities at the park?
A: Yes, Our Laundry Room is located at the rear of the building and a change machine is in arcade. Laundry soap and dryer sheets are available in the camp store.
Q: Do you have picnic tables, fire pits, or grills?
A: Yes, each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Grills are available at the camp store, and we encourage guests to enjoy campfire cooking during their stay.
Q: Are there restrooms and showers?
A: Yes, our bathhouse is rated 10/10* by Good Sams. We have clean restrooms and hot showers available for guest use. In an effort to conserve water there is a 50-cent charge for showers.
GENERAL
Q: What utilities are available at Tall Pines Campground?
A: We offer a variety of sites for you to choose! From our Full Hookup Waterfront Supersites with water, 30 & 50amp electric, septic and concrete picnic patios, to our water and electric waterfront, poolside and hilltop sites, to our no hookup tent field you’ll enjoy a comfortable and convenient stay while being surrounded by the beautiful outdoors.
Q: Are there additional charges for utilities like electricity and water?
A: The cost of water and electricity is included in the daily or weekly price of your site, so you can enjoy your time at Tall Pines Campground without any surprise fees. Electric service for seasonal sites is an additional charge and is billed monthly by the kw or by average use rates, depending on the campsite.
SEPTIC/ DUMP STATION
Q: Is there a place to dump my RV waste at Tall Pines Campground?
A: Yes! We have a dump station available at Tall Pines Campground for camping guests and travelers who are passing by. You can easily dispose of your RV waste during your stay. Additionally, full hookups with sewer are available at select sites, so you can enjoy a hassle-free stay.
Q: Do you offer pump out service?
A: Tall Pines RV Park has weekly pumpout service for our seasonal guests whose sites do not include septic. To be included in the weekly Tall Pines RV Park Seasonal Pumpout Service (1x/week; generally on Tuesdays) sign up by Sunday. $30/pumpout. Emergency pumpouts are available on a staff available basis for $60/pumpout. IT IS ILLEGAL to drain gray or black water on the ground and violators will be prosecuted
PROPANE
Q: How can I refill my propane tank while staying at Tall Pines Campground?
A: Need propane for your RV? Stop by our campground store or order your propane refill on ChippysAPP. Whether you need a propane tank or have a motorhome needed to be filled up, we have you covered, ensuring you have everything you need for a perfect stay at Tall Pines.
ELECTRICITY
Q: How many appliances can I use at a time without blowing the fuse?
A: 30amp electric will support the use of 1 heating or cooling appliance at a time (microwave, AC, electric heater, curling iron, hot plate, etc). 50amp service will support the use of 4 appliances at 1 time.
Q: Can I use both the 30-amp and 50-amp outlets on the power post?
A: No, only one outlet (either 30-amp or 50-amp) on the power post can be used at a time. Please choose the appropriate outlet for your RV or camping needs.
Q: Can I plug in both my RV and an electric car to the same power post?
A: No, electric cars and RVs cannot be plugged into the same power post. Only one connection is allowed per post.
Q: Does Tall Pines Campground have electric vehicle (EV) charging stations?
A: Currently, we do not have electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on-site. We recommend guests with electric vehicles plan to charge before arriving or use a nearby station in the area.
Q: Are generators allowed at Tall Pines Campground?
A: No, generators are not allowed except in an emergency or power failure. Please consult a Tall Pines staff member if you feel you need to use your generator for any reason.
WI-FI
Q: Does Tall Pines Campground offer Wi-Fi access?
A: Yes, we offer free and paid Wi-Fi options throughout much of the campground. Please note that the Wi-Fi connection may vary depending on your location within the campground due to the natural surroundings.
WATER:
Q: Can I refill my water tank for my RV at Tall Pines Campground?
A: All our RV campsites have water right onsite. In addtion, we also offer fresh water tank refills if you are not camping with us and need to top off.
Q: Are there any water usage restrictions at Tall Pines Campground?
A: While there are no strict water usage restrictions, we do encourage all guests to practice water conservation to help preserve our local resources. Please be mindful of your water usage during your stay and if you notice a leak, please let us know.
Q: Can I wash my car or RV?
A: RV & Car Washing is available for a small fee, but a permit is required (order on ChippysAPP or stop by the camp store
Q: Is the water drinkable?
A: Absolutely! Our water is town water and is maintained, metered and sanitized by the Town of Sidney.
Q: Do you have good water pressure?
A: We have good water pressure, so a Water Pressure Regulator is highly suggested.
TRASH & RECYCLING
Q: Where should I dispose of my trash and recycling?
A: Please bring your trash and recycling to the dumpster near the small barn by the mini-golf area.
Q: How should I separate recycling?
A: Place bottles and cans in bins or bag them separately from regular trash.
Q: Can I leave trash out overnight?
A: No, please dispose of trash during daylight hours to avoid attracting wildlife.
Q: Can I leave trash at my campsite?
A: No, trash must be brought to the dumpster. Do not leave trash at your campsite.
Q: What about large items like furniture or appliances?
A: Large items like furniture, grills, or mattresses must be taken home or to the dump. Only bagged trash is accepted.

Q: What are the rates for staying at Tall Pines RV Park?
A: Rates for staying at Tall Pines RV Park vary depending on the type of site and time of year. We offer affordable options for tent camping, RV sites, and seasonal stays. Q: Is my reservation refundable?
A: If you purchased our Campground Travel Insurance when you made your reservation you can cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival with no penalties. Reservations without insurance are subject to a 1 day cancellation fee if cancelled more than 8 days before arrival. Cancellations made within 7 days of scheduled check-in are subject to a penalty equal to 100% of the reservation fee. There is no refund on a holiday or special event reservation.
Q: Do I need a deposit to reserve a spot?
A: Yes, a deposit is required to secure your reservation. The deposit amount will be specified at the time of booking.
